Create Your Life By Design
Not By Default
What Does Your Ideal Life Look Like?
Does it look like an enormous amount of money in your bank account? Are you surrounded by friends and family who love and support you? Are you living in the house of your dreams? Are you in a loving, romantic relationship? Do you have a prestigious degree or title? Are you laughing and having fun each and every day? Do you drive a luxury vehicle? Are you working in a field that is meaningful and interesting to you? Are you being compensated for your greatest talents and abilities? Are you living in your ideal body? Is your family happy and healthy? Are you contributing and making a difference in your community? Are you sharing your inner gifts with the world?
A truly happy life can mean something completely different to each and every one of us.
The trap many people fall into is COMPARISON to others. We look outside of ourselves to see what others are doing and tell ourselves we “should” be doing that. When we do this, we create a life by default. We choose to follow someone else’s blueprint for happiness. But happiness is as unique and individual as a fingerprint. There are no two identical happiness blueprints. Instead, we need to look inside ourselves and determine what it is we truly desire. Once our own blueprint is identified and we commit to following it, look out world, DREAM LIFE INCOMING!!!
You are the only one who can determine what success means in your life. And you are the only person that controls your destiny. No one else can do it for you. There is greatness inside of you but the question is, will you do what you need to do to bring it out into the world?
This life we are given is a beautiful gift, if we know how to make the most of it. If you are willing to invest your time identifying what brings you true happiness, if you are courageous enough to consider making the changes necessary, and if you are willing to believe that it is possible, I am here to help you.
Is there an area in your life that could use some attention?
In order to have the best life possible, it’s important to examine all 10 areas as you can see on the Circle of Life diagram to the left. Do you have some areas where you are knocking it out of the park and some that could use a little more focus? If you feel like there might be something missing in your life but are not sure what it is, this is a great exercise to help you get started! Look at each category of the circle and put a dot along the line indicating how satisfied you are in that area. A dot close to the outer edge indicates a high level of satisfaction. A dot closer to the center indicates a lower level of satisfaction. When you have rated each section, draw a circle connecting all of the dots. A circle that is round and full and close to the outer edges means your life is quite full and satisfactory. If your circle lines are more “squiggly”, look to the areas you rated lower and see if you can identify some goals or uncovered dreams that you would like to bring to life in those areas.

“My experience at Joyful Roots was very powerful. In the past I had been to so many counsellors and for some reason I kept coming back to the same issues over and over. My experience with Sherry was like no other. Her techniques and suggestions made sense not to mention she is so easy to talk to. The work that we did was very natural and not difficult and I felt amazing results. She is an inspiration and I would definitely recommend her services.”
